What this page used to say. An earlier version presented four "true stories" said to come from real players at Betlee Casino and other venues, with "names changed, emotions 100% real": Mike, 34, who kicked a flickering Megabucks machine in Las Vegas with his last $5 and won a $312,400 progressive; Anna, 62, who turned $20 of wedding-dress money into $187,691 on Divine Fortune and bought a house in Florida; a newly married couple who won $17,500 on number 17 at the Bellagio and lost the wedding ring; and a streamer, "LuckyLex", who went from $68,000 up to zero in eleven minutes. None of these people, dates or payouts can be checked, and an online brand had no way of verifying wins in Las Vegas casinos. The stories have been removed.
Three numbers every jackpot story must survive
Any win story can be tested with the stake, the payout and the game's published maximum win. Divide the payout by the stake: Mike's $312,400 from $5 is 62,480 times the stake, Anna's $187,691 from $20 is about 9,385 times. A regular slot states its maximum win in the game rules, usually a few thousand times the stake; a multiple far above that can only come from a progressive jackpot, and progressives have conditions of their own.

Progressive jackpots have entry conditions
